Abstract
A 51 year old female presented with complains of diminution of vision in both the eyes since 2 years. BCVA in the right eye was 6/36 and in the left eye was counting fingers 3 meters. On fundoscopy both eyes showed CSR with pigment epithelial changes in RE and scarring in LE. Fluorescein angiography showed leak and hyperintense spots ,respectively in the macular area. Baseline OCT in RE showed serous detachment and the RPE followed contour of the choroidal excavation. LE showed 2 choroidal excavations, one in the parafoveal region and the other just beneath the fovea. Focal choroidal excavation converted from conforming to nonconforming type at 4-month follow-up. Pachyvessels were also evidenced in the choroid, without neovascularization. Large series of patients with both FCE and CSC and longer follow-up are needed to establish if this sequence of FCE types is related to retinal and choroidal morphological changes occurring during progression of CSC disease.
