Abstract

Aim:

To report aesthetic management of U/Lcong ptosis with B/Ldermatochalasis in young female. Method: 24-year-old female presented with drooping of right upper lid since birth.VA, ocular motility were normal. clinical diagnosis of RE congenital severe ptosis with good LPS action was made. The left eye had congenital dermatochalasis ,giving ” hooded look” patient underwent right eye LPS resection with good cosmetic outcome. This was followed by left eye UL blepharoplasty and a good symmetrical cosmetic outcome was achieved.Result.After surgical correction palpebral aperture of both eyes were symmetrical with a satisfactory cosmetic outcome. Conclusion: Congenital ptosis usually results from isolated localized myogenic dysgenesis of LPS. Multiple surgical procedures are available Congenital blepharochalasis is seen in many races, causing cosmetic and functional deficit. Our aim should be to provide a significant improvement in appearance and functional QOL.
