Abstract
Abstract- Necrotizing Dacryometaplasia is rare entity which can mimic an aggressive malignant tumor. It seems to be analogous to Necrotizing Sialometaplasia which generally affects the salivary glands and is an inflammatory condition. There is scarce information about this entity as only two case reports have been reported in last two decades. Due to presence of adjacent bony erosion, it may mimic an aggressive malignant tumour. Here we report a twenty-seven-year-old male who presented with right upper eyelid swelling since two months, which clinicalmally and radiologically pointed to be a malignancy turned out to be necrotizing dacryometaplasia.
