Abstract
We report a case of 32 year old male presented with DOV in left eye since 2 years which was insidious, painless, progressive and associated with metamorphopsia. Patient was diagnosed as a case of chronic CSR outside and was being treated conservatively but was not improving. His BCVA was 6/6 in R/E and 6/36 in L/E. On dilated fundus examination, R/E was normal but in left eye, a small grey white excavation area was seen in inferotemporal quadrant of optic disc and macular edema was seen with pigmentary changes. Patient was diagnosed as ODP-M and for confirmatory diagnosis, OCT disc and macula was done which showed optic pit and subretinal fluid with pigmentary changes. The diagnosis and management of ODPM remains challenging and delay in it can result into poor prognosis secondary to long standing macular edema leading to lamellar/full thickness macular hole, RPE atrophy resulting into irreversible loss of vision. Hence timely diagnosis and management of ODP-M is the key point.
