Abstract

Evaluation of safety & compliance of same day bilateral intravitreal injection of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF). Retrospective study was conducted from December 2018 to June 2021 on patients requiring bilateral intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF. 353 patients underwent bilateral injection of anti-VEGF on same day and were evaluated for any complications. There was no major complication in any of the cases except sub-conjunctival hemorrhage in 12 cases unilaterally and 3 cases bilaterally. So, bilateral intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF is safe and can be given conveniently in the same sitting. The number of visit to the hospital is also reduced which is a need in Corona times.
