Abstract
Case: A 22-years-old female presented with history of blurring of vision associated with distortion of images in her right eye since three years. Fundus examination revealed a round atrophic foveal lesion with pigmentary alteration in right eye. OCT of right eye showed Internal limiting membrane wrapping along with loss of both inner and outer retinal layers. Fundus AF imaging of right eye revealed hyper-autofluorescence at the site of the lesion. The FA of right eye demonstrated well defined hyperfluorescence not increasing in intensity or size over time. ERG revealed mildly decreased b- wave scotopic response in right eye. EOG of both eyes was within normal limit. Conclusion: The differentiating features of AOVMD from Best disease and Parafoveal telangiectasia have been discussed. The correct diagnosis and monitoring this condition is mandatory. Owing to genetic predisposition, comprehensive ocular examination of the patient’s family members is recommended.
