Abstract
Purpose: To study and visual outcome of patients with complicated cataracts
Methods: A PROSPECTIVE COHORT STUDY WAS done, during 2020.All demographic and clinical Data retrived from all EMR during period. All these data were exported in excel sheet and analyzed using SPSS 22 using descriptive analysis and cross tabulation.
Results: Our cohort consisted of 230 PATIENTS OPERATED FOR COMPLICATED CATARACTS with median age 49 , out of which females-52.6%,male were 47.4%. 16.1% were pediatric . corneal opacity was in 19.6% ,coloboma with cataract in 1.7% 27.8% were traumatic,18.7% uveitic and 18.7 % Median pre operative score was 7.We found significant vision improvement following surgery(p=0.000)
Conclusions:Significant vision improvement seen in Complicated cataract with corneal opacity following surgery.
