Abstract
CASE DISCUSSION- A 28 y/f presented to Ophthal opd for evaluation of ocular manifestations of neurofibromatosis1.
On slit lamp examination BE shows brown dome-shaped solid lesions over the iris surface suggestive of lisch nodules. UCVA(BE)-6/6
Fundus examination of BE was wnl.
She also presented with multiple cafe au lait spots, and multiple dome-shaped, soft, fleshy, slightly hyperpigmented suggestive of cutaneous neurofibromas all over the body.
CONCLUSION- Neurofibromas and other complications result in a strong physical and mental burden for patients. That why it is necessary to screen and design management protocol promptly on time to reduce both morbidity and mortality.
