Abstract
Netarsudil (Rho-kinase inhibitor)- new class of anti glaucoma drug, act through relaxation of trabecular meshwork leading to increase in aqueous outflow through conventional pathway. Typical AEs-conjunctival hyperaemia, sub conjunctival haemorrhage and cornea verticillata. We report two adult male having bilateral neo-vascular glaucoma on conventional maximal medical treatment, developed reticular corneal changes after use of Netarsudil 0.02%. On 7 days follow up after start of Netarsudil, both patients presented with multiple small epithelial bullae arranged in honeycomb pattern showing diffuse fluorescein staining. Corneas showed reticular oedema resolved in week upon discontinuation of Netarsudil. Although netarsudil effective in corneal pathology, through this case report, we document corneal epithelial oedema occurring in patients after use of Netarsudil. Such incidences warrant further studies regarding significance of adverse event and use of Netarsudil with compromised corneas.
