Abstract
A 63-year-old male presented with severe pain, acute loss of vision, redness and watering in both eyes ten days duration. He had (COVID)-19 infection with pneumonia with blisters on limbs, nose along with purpuric rashes all over the body.
BCVA in BE were counting fingers close to face, intraocular pressure of 30/9 mm Hg in OD and OS. OD showed corneal epithelial oedema, hyphaema with blood stained iris and no view of fundus. OS showed vitreous haemorrhage (VH).
Topical antiglaucoma/steroids/ acetazolamide with AC wash for hyphaema and intravitreal bevacizumab was done. BE showed pale disc with attenuated vessels and retinal haemorrhages. Systemic oral steroids, pan retinal photocoagulation with IV pulse cyclophosphamide 3 doses in 2 week intervals was done. Final visual outcome after 6 months were 6/9 and 6/12 in OD/OS respectively, IOP was well controlled.
Rare sight threatening manifestations following COVID-19 needs a multidisciplinary management.
