Abstract

Aim: To evaluate optical coherence tomography angiography parameters of retina in SARS-COV-2 recovered subjects Methods: In an observational study on 38 subjects in the age range of 54.1813.64 years, having diabetes (24), hypertension (30), cardiovascular disease (18), tuberculosis (18) and respiratory illness (60), FAZ size, perimeter and circularity index; and parafoveal VD in superficial, deep and outer retina, chorio-capillaries and choroid were analysed using OCTA. Results: The Foveal avascular zone (FAZ) size measured 0.340.15 mm2; perimeter 3.251.18 mm; and circularity index 0.410.10. The VD in superficial capillary plexus (SCP) measured 9.244.47; deep capillary plexus (DCP) 6.094.55; outer retina (OR) 4.885.19; chorio-capillaries (CC) 15.155.22 and choroid (C ) 13.153.24. There was a SS difference (p<0.05) from VD of normal Indian population. Conclusion: The SARS-COV-2 recovered subjects have reduced VD probably from COVID or underlying disease or both.
