Abstract
Prepapillary vascular loops is rare and underestimated. It has been reported to be associated with branch retinal artery occlusion (BRAO), amaurosis fugax, recurrent vitreous hemorrhage, subretinal retinal hemorrhage , hyphema .We present series of 6 patients , describing types of loop and their various associations Systemic investigations were done to rule out other secondary causes . Ophthalmic investigations included fundus photo , OCT , FFA . Patients were treated on the lines of associated complications . Out of 6 patients 3 were males , 3 were female . Various associations we found included vitreous hemorrhage , branch retinal vein occlusion , retinal artery macroanuerysm ,macular telengectesia , high myope and FCE with loop associated with physiological tortous vessels and accidental finding in child with blunt trauma. Patient should have timely and routine ophthalmic evaluation as they are at risk of developing complications.
