Abstract
Anterior capsular phimosis is common after cataract surgery in patients with myotonic dystrophy, retinitis pigmentosa, chronic uveitis, Pseudoexfoliation, small rhexis patients. The sequale of anterior capsular phimosis is unequal capsular fibrosis with Intraocular lens decentration in long run. In our patient, severe capsular phimosis only slit like opening in centre with mild pseudophacodonesis occurred 6 months after uneventful phacoemulsification surgery, had associated Pseudoexfoliation and stable proliferative diabetic retinopathy with panretinalphotocoagulation. Patient underwent anterior capsular phimosis release with yag posterior capsulotomy to prevent further fibrosis and Intraocular lens decentration.
