Abstract
INTRODUCTION- pseudoexfoliative glaucoma is a common case of secondary open angle glaucoma causing irreversible loss of vision. CASE PRESENTATION- 85-year-old female patient with no history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus & hyperlipidemia presented with gradual painless loss of vision since 3 years. Due to covid pandemic lockdown her vision deteriorated further & could not visit any ophthalmologist. Her vison was no light perception in right eye with RAPD and left eye was light perception positive with sluggishly reactive to light with pearly white reflex with pxf+ in the pupil suggestive of mature cataract in both eyes. she was planned for cataract extraction of both eyes on 2 subsequent days. An uneventful cataract surgery was done with no improvement in vision following day. Fundus examination showed glaucomatous optic atrophy in both eyes. CONCLUSION- this is case of a lady who was doubly blind with mature cataract with pseudoexfoliation & glaucomatous optic atrophy in both eye
