Abstract
IMPACT OF COVID-19 HOME CONFINEMENT IN CHILDREN’S REFRACTIVE ERROR
Aim: To investigate the impact of home confinement during the Covid 19 outbreak in the vision of school aged children
Methods: A cross-sectional study in children between 5-12 years old. A questionnaire was made and was filled by child’s guardian. Statistical analysis was done to compare lifestyle pre and post confinement
Results: Children spent less time outdoor during confinement(p<=0.001).There was significant decrease of the spherical equivalent(0.66±.03D) Conclusion: Lifestyle during covid-19 changed .Spherical equivalents decreased leading to higher figures of myopia in children between 5-12 years.
