Abstract
AIM -To evaluate incidence of sub-retinal deposits in OCT imaging secondary to Pre-eclampsia. METHOD- Prospective, observational, hospital based study was done on 48 patients of Pre-eclampsia visiting tertiary health centre from July 2020 -July 2021. BCVA, Slit-lamp examination, dilated fundoscopic examination was performed during 1st visit and follow up.Serial spectral domain OCT imaging was performed initially within 4 weeks of diagnosis and then during recovery phase, beyond 6 weeks and analysed.RESULTS – Of 48 patients, 20 patients with good hypertensive control showed lower incidence of sub retinal deposits (SRD) in follow up visits. 28 patients showed significant SRD , of which 10 patients had associated CSR.
CONCLUSION- Proper management of Pre-eclampsia is directly related to better visual outcome and lower incidence of SRD with associated CSR.
