Abstract
With evolution of Anatomic Positioning System (APS) like GMPE, precise and reproducible data are available very early, than ever before for pre-perimetic diagnosis of glaucoma. Heidelberg Engineering’s GMPE offers Bruch’s Membrane Opening-Minimum Rim Width (BMO-MRW), RNFL thickness, Posterior Pole Asymmetry Analysis and Ganglion Cell Inner Plexiform Layer Analysis, relative to every patient’s individual Fovea-to-BMO-center axis, making it a customised and unique tool. This video has been dynamically constructed for neophyte users, with our clinical case studies on how to holistically interpret the GMPE Parameters, with structural (BMO-MRW) and functional (visual fields) correlation. Also a novel paperless digital clinical work flow pattern is highlighted to maximize the use of GMPE to not just benefit eye care professionals to serve smarter; but also save time, long-term costs and improve an organisation’s reputation big-time around among patients with visual education for counselling.
