Abstract
Von Hippel Lindau (VHL) is a rare disorder with an incidence of 1 in 36000 live births. VHL is an autosomal dominant neoplastic disorder in which multiple malignant or benign tumor and cysts develop in brain, spinal cord, retina, kidney, adrenal glands and pancreas. Conventional treatment of Angiomatosis Retinae is done with laser photocoagulation or cryotherapy. Vascular lesions are accompanied by fibrous proliferation lead to Tractional Retinal Detachment. Vitrectomy is done for Tractional or exudative Retinal Detachment. Here we present in two cases the surgical technique of Vitrectomy, tumor ablation, ILM peeling, endolaser and gas or oil tamponade to relieve TRD associated with Angiomatosis Retinae. Patients were observed for a period of six months and observed over gradual improvement in best corrected visual acuity.
