Abstract
Separating lenticule 180 degrees opposite incision initially brings lenticule towards incision. 3 quadrants of lenticule are separated and delivered out of wound. Attached 1 quadrant is separated by reverse pull using a Shearing Applied Force Extraction (SAFE), ensuring 360 degrees removal of lenticule. Leaving one quadrant attached makes sure lenticule isn’t lossed. This technique ensures that no part of lencticule remains behind, time taken for dissection remains same, with minimal inlammation, early visual recovery and lenticule of any thickness is removed successfully.120 eyes of 60 patients using this technique were operated from May 2017 to February 2018 with one month completed follow up. At day one and at one month the uncorrected vision was 20/20 in 117 eyes and 20/30 in 3 eyes.
