To demonstrate management of peripheral iron foreign body in a case of trauma. 25year old male sustained penetrating injury 2months ago diagnosed to have IOFB on CT scan underwent phacoemulsification.on examination corneal staining noted with inferior selfsealed corneal tear.Bscan did not show evidence of iofb due to Impact at the ora serrata.Repeat CT scan demonstrated IOFB. vitrectomy with iofb removaldone. With corneal staining challenging, IVTA assisted PVD.To our susprise,IOFB wasn’t visible at this stage. A thorough peripheral examination with scleral indentation picked a metallic foreign body at the ora serrata. Clearing the fibrosis around the foriegnbody is important,and undue traction can result in retinal breaks. Macula secured with PFCL.Magnet introduced to pull out the IOFB.PFCL air exchange was done.Peripheral Foreign bodies can be easily missed. postop attached retina.In case of trauma vigilance to look out for foreign body by scleral indentation.
