Abstract
76 year old male, farmer by occupation presented with complaint of swelling associated with pain, mucopurulent discharge & bleeding since 1 year. There was a history of recurrent stye in the left upper eyelid involving medial canthus since past two years. But in past 1 year swelling had a faster progression in nature with size increasing from 1×2 to 8×9 mm. He is known case of hypertension. LE examination showed swelling in upper eyelid near medial canthus, oval shape, irregular surface, active bleeding spots and ulcerated margins. Lymph nodes examination was normal. Anterior segment examination showed immature cataract, best corrected visual acuity 6/12 and fundus normal. Ocular examination of Right eye was normal. Excisional biopsy followed by histopathology confirmed carcinoma. It is known as great masquerader as it is often mistaken for a benign or different malignant lesion. This leads to a delay in diagnosis and contributes to an increase in associated morbidity and mortality.
