Abstract
A case of diffuse Choroidal Hemangioma with Exudative RD in a child of Sturge Weber Syndrome who was started on Oral Propranolol before she received Radiotherapy
Patient had uniocular involvement of a large choroidal tumor with Exudative RD and concerns included ruling out secondary metastasis and other tumors in the body, determining intracranial involvement, preventing Amblyopia
It was determined by Clinical Findings, B Scan USG, FFA, ICG and MRI that the patient was indeed a case of diffuse Choroidal Hemangioma with overlying exudative Retinal Detachment and needed treatment as early as possible. However due to logistical and economic concerns patient had to put off EBRT for sometime and was hence started on Oral Propranolol which has shown effect in other hemangiomas and reports in choroidal hemangiomas as well.
Following that patient received External beam radiotherapy with a good response currently.
