Abstract
Purpose: Reporting a case of inverted papilloma of right nasal cavity with moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma invading both orbits
Method: A 56yr old patient presented with right sided proptosis, restricted extra ocular movements, exposure keratopathy, B/L upper lid ptosis and nasal obstruction. Routine Ocular examination was done and evaluated with MRI brain and orbits, Nasal endoscopy and biopsy of the lesion. Histopathology and imaging confirmed Inverted papilloma of right nasal cavity with malignant transformation extending in to both orbits and right cavernous sinus. Lesion was not amenable for surgical excision. Patient was referred for radiotherapy.
Conclusion: Although a rare cause of proptosis, inverted papilloma with orbital invasion must be considered as a differential diagnosis of nasosinus tumors invading the orbit
