Abstract
A 27-year-old male presented to the Out Patient Department with chief complaints of gradual progressive painless diminution of vision in the right eye since 5 weeks. Patient gave history of blunt trauma with a wooden stick to the right side of his face 5 weeks back while working in the field. His Best Corrected Visual Acuity was 6/60 in the right eye and 6/6 in the left eye. The intraocular pressure was 16 mm Hg in both eyes. On slit lamp examination there were cataractous changes in the right eye in the form of quadrangular petals, giving it a characteristic rosette pattern and findings were within normal limits in the left eye. On fundoscopy, performed after dilation, the posterior segment examination was essentially normal in both eyes. The patient was posted for cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation. On follow up after 2 weeks the Best Corrected Visual Acuity in the right eye was 6/6 in both eyes.
