Abstract
CSCR is typically characterized by localized neurosensory detachment (NSD) with or without focal pigment epithelial detachments (PEDs) and frequently resolves spontaneously. Patients with profound visual loss with multiple foci of NSD and PEDs comes under the spectrum of Atypical CSCR. These patients are usually managed with Micro-pulse laser or Photodynamic therapy. Intravitreal Anti-VEGFs have been seen to be effective in a few cases but are not the primary mode of management. We present such a case of Multifocal CSCR with Macular Detachment with no known risk factors who presented with sudden, painless and gradually progressive profound diminution of vision for last 07 days in left eye. Due to vocational requirements, the patient was injected with intravitreal ranibizumab. A remarkable visual recovery from 2/60 to 6/9 was seen within 7 days which improved to 6/6 within 3 months. To conclude, intravitreal anti-VEGFs can be a promising future in the management of atypical CSCR.
