Abstract
30-year-old female, case of seronegative rheumatoid arthritis who has been started on with tablet hydroxychloroquine, came for evaluation. On examination, BCVA 6/6, color vision and Amsler’s grid was normal. The anterior segment examination of both eyes was normal. HFA 10-2 was normal. On examination of the fundus, the disc was normal with a Cup-disc ratio of 0.3, there was multiple hypopigmented yellow-white polymorphous lesions present involving the entire retina sparing the macula in both the eyes suggestive of the familial flecked retina. In the right eye, there was a hyperpigmented well-defined lesion of size 4 Disc Diameter temporal to the macula suggestive of choroidal nevus in RE. We are presenting this case since this is a rare combination of the flecked retina and the choroidal nevus. The prevalence of choroidal nevi is 1-10%, where the risk of malignant transformation is 0.7- 7%. If progression is suspected, a close follow-up is required.
