Abstract
Aim:-To evaluate outcome of eyes with retinal vasculitis and intraocular inflammation(IOI) after intravitreal injection(IVI) of Brolucizumab for the treatment of neovascular ARMD.
Materials and methods:- Retrospective study was done in 15 eyes of 12 patients in tertiary care centre from Dec 20 to July 21. Ocular examination results & retinal findings were reviewed.
Results:- Retinal vasculitis & IOI were diagnosed at 30+/-5 days after Brolucizumab IVI. Mean VA before broculizumab IVI was 0.426 log MAR and VA at diagnosis of retinal vasculitis was 0.981 log MAR. All affected eyes showed IOI. FFA showed delayed arterial filling , retinal vascular non perfusion ,variable dye leak from affected vessels & optic nerve .T/t included steroids & 2 eyes underwent vitrectomy. After 25 days, mean VA was 0.833 log MAR, reduced compared to baseline (p=0.03).
Conclusion:- Retinal vasculitis and IOI after broculizumab IVI showed variable occlusion of retinal arteries & perivenular abnormalities.
