Abstract
A 54 year male presented with diminution of vision from past 1 year (LE>RE). Patient is known case of type 2 DM for past 8 years(on OHA- poor compliance). No history of ocular trauma, pain, redness, bleeding disorder or hypertension. BCVA in RE was plane 6/36 and in LE plane 6/60. The IOP of RE was 17mmhg and LE was 16mmhg. The slit lamp examination of BE was within normal limits showing nuclear sclerosis grade 1 in BE. No sign of NVI and NVA seen. Fundus examination of both eyes showed multiple dot and blot hemorrhages present, pre-retinal hemorrhage present supero-temporal to disc, multiple hard exudates present, microaneurysms present neovascularization tufts seen in inferotemporal quadrant, macular edema present, multiple dot and blot h hemorrhages present, hard exudates present over macula. OCT examination of both eye showed macular edema. The patient was planned for Intravitreal antiVEGF injection along with Ozurdex implant followed by laser.
