Abstract

PURPOSE: Case report of Acute corneal graft rejection following COVID 19 graft rejection

METHODS: A 72year-old male, presented with watering and pain in LE since 1 week and BCVA of HMCF. He had undergone LE penetrating keratoplasty 2 years back for corneal scar. He had regained vision of 6/36, N36 and was on topical steroids. He had taken COVISHEILD vaccine,2 weeks prior. There was presence of LE corneal graft edema, DM fold, keratic precipitates inferiorly. LE was diagnosed as having Acute graft rejection after COVID 19 vaccination. Treatment for graft rejection was started.

CONCLUSION: This case suggests possibility of immune corneal graft rejection after COVID-19 vaccination. Doctors and patients should be aware of this possible complication after vaccination.
