Abstract
Aim
To analyze morphological and functional changes, observe visual outcome, an adverse events in patients of macular edema after Intravitreal injection of dexamethasone implant
Method
Prospective nonrandomized observational study with 30 patients having 1 diabetic macular edema 2 retinal venous occlusion 3 pseudophakic cystoid macular edema
Evaluation done by- 1 history 2 visual acuity 3 slit lamp examination 4 IOP 5 retinal evaluation with indirect ophthalmoscopy and slit lamp 90 diopter bio microscopy 6 optical coherence tomography 7 fundus photo
Result
Improvement was noted in visual acuity after 3 months in patients having diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion and pseudophakic cystoid macular edema after IV dexamethasone implant.
Conclusion
After IV dexamethasone implant in patient having diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion and pseudophakic cystoid macular edema, improvement was observed in visual acuity without any significant adverse events.
