Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the surgical results of combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy (CTT) in primary Congenital Glaucoma (PCG). Methods: Medical records of infants with PCG underwent CTT between January 2011 and December 2019 was reviewed retrospectively. Children with minimum one year follow up were included in the study. Corneal diameter, Central Corneal Thickness, IOP, axial length and Cup disc ratio was recorded on each follow up visits. Surgery was considered to be successful if post operative intraocular pressure (IOP) was 21 mm Hg or less, with or without medication. Results: Eighty one eyes of 61 infants who underwent CTT during study period were available for analysis. The mean post operative IOP was 14 ± 6.0 mm Hg. The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that success rate at one year follow up was 86.4%. No significant intra operative or postoperative complication was observed. Conclusion: Primary CTT is safe and effective surgical procedure in treatment of PCG.
