Abstract
Idiopathic intracranial hypertension is a neurological condition characterised by raised intracranial pressure and normal cerebrospinal fluid composition in the absence of an underlying intracranial pathology. Here, we present a case of 31 year old male presented to OPD with temporal headache and double vision. He was not on any medications. His body mass index was 38 kg/m2. His vision was 6/6 in each eye. On Diplopia charting there was maximum separation of image in levodepression. Fundus examination showed hyperemic disc, blurred margins, filling of cup, and absence of venous pulsation. His blood investigations were normal. On MRI Brain imaging showed subtle flattening of posterior sclera of bilateral globe at optic disc suggestive of papilloedema in right > left with prominent bilateral perioptic CSF spaces. He was advised to reduce his weight and started on tablet Acetazolamide .He was advised monthly followup.
