Abstract
Objective: To report 5 patients with different ophthalmological complications after the COVID-19 vaccine.
Observation- we report 5 previously healthy patients who developed ophthalmological symptoms after receiving first dose of the covid vaccine. Complications like central serous retinopathy, forth nerve palsy, sub hyloid bleed, cortical blindness, branch retinal vein occlusion. Other ophthalmological examination, test, related blood test, CT and MRI were in normal limit. Relationship between vaccination and the onset, the lack of pre-existing medical conditions, and normal test and imaging, these complications were felt to be related to the vaccination.
Conclusions: These cases highlight the importance of recognizing the potential of a COVID-19 vaccine to have neurologic and retinal sequelae similar to those that as have been reported with the virus itself as well as with other vaccines. Our study contributes information of few side effect potentially related to this new vaccin
