Abstract
A 65 year old male patient presented with gradual Diminution of vision in his left eye
On examination he was found to have light perception vision with accurate projection of rays in all quadrants .
On slit lamp examination he had intumescent white cataract left eye
On B scan examination of left eye transverse b scan from superotemporal area showed a cystic mass with medium internal reflectivity in inferonasal quadrant .
In view of intraocular mass patient was advised MRI orbit with contrast but no mass was detected on MRI again to confirm mass presence a b scan was done by expert radiologist but again no mass detected .
Patient underwent uneventful cataract surgery with IOL implementation and subsequent indirect Ophthalmoscopy no cyst or mass was seen . B – scan was done which did not reveal any cyst or mass . So we hypothesized that in patient with prominent eye with intumescent cataract may present as intraocular mass on temporal transverse scan.
