Abstract
Introduction
Malarial retinopathy includes a set of retinal findings in severe malaria and also seen in children with cerebral malaria. These findings are rare in Plasmodium vivax malaria.
Material and Methods
We report a case in a 13 year old female patient who had pre-retinal haemorrhage in both eyes while being treated for malaria, she was managed with intravitreal tPA and expansile gas in both the eyes with good visual outcome.
Conclusion
Intravitreal tPA and expansile gas is a good alternative for patients not consenting for YAG Laser hyaloidotomy
