Abstract
Purpose: Comparison of Total corneal refractive power(TCRP) and Belin Ambrosio enhanced ectasia display in early detection of corneal ectasia and assessing sensitivity , specificity and accuracy .Methods: Decision tree classifier was used to classify raw data obtained from Pentacam and 1.4 was taken as cutoff value based on TCRP map as diagnostic of ectasia. 75 eyes were tested by the algorithm. First Pentacam scan was done for D value and data was fed into the analyzer to verify ectasia correctly. Result: Testing algorithm had precision and recall of 1,91% sensitive ,100% specific and 92% accurate. D value was most influenced by corneal thickness however, TCRP in the study considers anterior and posterior corneal surface and thickness. Conclusion: A new screening program for detecting ectasia using automated decision tree classification as an objective and quantitative way which is easier compared to reading the complex pentacam images .
