Abstract
SARS COV-2 has taken the World by its worst. Vaccination holds a key role in fighting the pandemic. All the vaccines authorized for emergency use have been carefully studied & found to be safe & effective in preventing severe COVID 19 cases. Thougha few ocular side effects post vaccination have been reported, the exact incidence is still unknown.Case Report:A42-year-old female presented with sudden onset diminution of vision in the left eye(OS)for 2 days. She took COVID vaccination 7 days ago. BCVA was right eye (OD) 6/6, OS 2/60. Fundus showedOD-Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion(BRVO) with proliferative retinopathy(PR) & pre retinal hemorrhage&OS-BRVO with gross macular edema. FFA, OCT confirmed presence of bilateral BRVO with vasculitis & PR in OD. Systemic investigations ruled out other causes of vasculitis. She was treated with OD Inj.anti-VEGF &Inj. Ozurdex in OS.Conclusion:Retinal vasculitis with occlusion can be considered as an adverse event to COVID vaccination.
