Abstract
Dr. K.S.KUMAR
Even as diabetic retinopathy(DR), the most common vascular retinopathy to confront us,continues to torment many a patient, gaps in our knowledge of various aspects of DR need to be periodically bridged. Basics are ever the achilles’ heel and to address the grey areas, our IC aims to drive home the very points that all ophthalmologists must know and practise.Pitfalls in the diagnosis, role of ancillary tests in DR, several insrtructive cases in diabetic retinopathy, DR imposters and vitreoretinal interventions in DR will be lucidly presented by veterans in an ‘easy-to-understand’ format. The IC is designed to benefit ophthalmologists in training as also nascent ophthalmologists/ VR surgeons.
