Abstract
A 32 yr old male came with h/o injury in RE 10 yrs back for which surgery was done & iron particle was removed elsewhere & defective vision in RE since then,his BCVA in RE was CF at 1m & in LE was 6/6. AS examination showed adherent leukoma inferiorly & traumatic cataract. IOP were 19mmhg BE. Fundus showed a mound of elevated lesion just temporal to fovea with RPE changes. B scan revealed high reflective echoes with backshadowing suggestive of foreign body.CT scan-metallic foreign body in posterior chamber on right side measuring 2.7mm*2.9mm in size.Right eye phaco+IOL +PPV+IOFB removal+BBG assisted ILM peeling (inverted flap) with endolaser +SF6(20%), single large piece of IOFB was retrieved using the forceps through the opening in the PC and extracted out through the limbus using hand shake technique then as macular hole was also noted BBG assisted inverted ILM flap technique was done.Rigid IOL was placed in the sulcus.
