Abstract
He developed a complicated cataract with a severe hypotony secondary to cyclitic membranes; with a possible chance of induction of a phthisical change with a routine cataract surgery; necessitating a posterior segment approach to the cataract. This was done under immunomodulatory cover to achieve good control of inflammation.
This video highlights the technique for such a posterior approach including a Lensectomy with Vitrectomy with Silicon Oil Insertion and Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lens in such eyes after a careful UltraBioMicroscopic and UltraSound analysis of the eye.
