Abstract
Cataract surgery is continuous learning process.However we tend to ignore small things in the cataract surgery which can result in total adverse outcome.Some times this is without surgeon fault!!Surgeon should aware all the minute aspects of all steps in the cataract surgery which if ignored ,can have worst possible outcome.We are presenting five unique videos of different mistakes that has taught us a lesson for importance of each aspects cataract surgery.Case 1 – loose viscocannula tip leading to damage of the lens.Case 2-Ophthalmic assistant inadvertently bumped the surgeon’s hand from behind while changing the bottle!!This leading to capsulorrhexis escape. Case 3-incorrect loading technique. CASE 4- Wrong selection of patient for topical phaco.Case 5- importance of uninterpreted power supply in the OT.These all cases are unique in nature and have given us important lessons to learn.
