Abstract

Aim: To analyze junction defects and correlate with orbscan

Methods: Study done at tertiary Institution on 16 eyes. AS-OCT vector is placed at 45º, 90º, 180º and 315°. Under-riding and gap junctions measured and analyzed with 7 mm orbscan Kh and Kv.

Results: Study included 68.75% males. Out of 128 points, 26.5% showed graft under-riding and 20.3% gaps. Under-riding at 90° and 180° showed strong positive correlation (r=0.97). Gaps at 90° revealed a high negative correlation (r=-0.8) with Kh and cylinder. T-test revealed statistical difference (p <0.05) for under-riding at 90° while at 180° did not show a statistical difference (p=0.13, 0.15). Mean CCT of 541.5µm with postop astigmatism of -3.00D to -8.00D found at axes from 70° to 90°. Conclusion: Under-riding at 90° and 180° tend to increase Kh and Kv and gap junctions at 90° tend to decrease Kh. Graft under-riding at 180° possibly unalters Kh and Kv. Gap junctions are linked to increased postop astigmatism than graft under-riding.
