Abstract
Idiopathic elevated episcleral venous pressure (IEEVP), also known as Radius Maumenee syndrome is a rare condition usually seen in women that can lead to glaucoma, and is difficult to manage. Here we describe a rare case of IEEVP in a middle aged male who presented with right eye sub-acute loss of vision and raised Intraocular pressure (IOP) that was refractory to medical management. Our patient underwent primary tube surgery (Ahmed glaucoma value) that has not been reported previously in this condition. This case highlights diagnosing this rare condition and the difficulties encountered in medical and surgical management .
