Abstract
Method: Retrospective observational study conducted at Tertiary care hospital between May 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021.
Result: In our study, in epidemic of CAM, 429 patients were examined. 303 of 429(70.6%) patients had ocular manifestations at the time of presentation. 73 of 303(24.09%) had minimal ocular involvement like peri-orbital fullness, with no ophthalmoplegia, 82 of 303(27.06%) had partial ophthalmoplegia and 110 of 303(36.3%) had complete ophthalmoplegia, whereas 38 of 303(12.54%) patients even though had ophthalmoplegia, could not be assessed as were disoriented with unstable general condition.
Conclusion: Ocular manifestations were one of the presenting clinical features of CAM. Complete ophthalmoplegia was more common at presentation than partial ophthalmoplegia. Ophthalmoplegia thus becomes one of the important criteria for diagnosis of CAM patients.
