Abstract
Purpose: To highlight the importance of histopathological diagnosis of lid mass
Case report: A 65-year-old female presented with a rapidly progressive pedunculated lesion in right upper lid for 1 year with clinical feature suggestive of papilloma. On histopathological examination it was diagnosed as well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. To the best of authors knowledge no such case has previously been reported in literature.
Conclusion: This report highlights the need of histopathological diagnosis of all lid lesions to prognosticate the disease.
