Abstract
Aim:To analyse the demographic and clinical profile of patients with oculo-orbital and adnexal tumors. Material and Method:Prospective observational study between Sept. 2018 to Feb. 2020.Patients with primary oculo-orbital and adnexal mass lesion presenting to the eye care centre, were included in this study. Exclusions were metastatic mass lesion and recurrence. Data included demography, clinical examination and tumor characteristics.HPE and IHC (whenever needed) were done.Result:Mean age at presentation was 31.39 ± 20.74(1-87) years. Lump (86.2%) was the most common presenting symptom. Congenital tumors were noted in only 10%.50% of the tumors were from eyelid. Most common malignancy was OSSN(46.7%).In paediatric age, dermoid(34.3%) and retinoblastoma(10%) and in adults lipogranuloma(17%) and OSSN(56%) were the most frequent benign and malignant tumors respectively.Conclusion :Incidence of ocular and adnexal tumors was found to be low but early detection and treatment is essential.
