Abstract
A 60-year-old male presented with progressive blurring of vision with BCVA 20/200 OU. Bilateral fundus showed waxy disc pallor, arterial attenuation and bony spicules. An orangish well defined elevated mass lesion was noted OD with no overlying subretinal fluid, pigment or drusen. OCT, ultrasonography, FFA and ICGA confirmed the diagnosis of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma. FFERG showed grossly reduced scotopic and photic responses. Retinitis Pigmentosa has been known to be associated with various retinal and choroidal vascular pathologies like polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, vasoproliferative tumours, retinal angiomatous proliferation, Coats’ like vasculopathy, retinal hemangioma and non-vascular conditions like disc hamartomas, choroidal melanoma and nevus. Herein, we report a hitherto undescribed association with circumscribed choroidal hemangioma. Also, it is imperative to differentiate it with choroidal melanoma and metastasis, presence of which warrants urgent attention.
