Abstract
Understanding the mechanism of ocular movements in addition to Listing’s law and strabismus surgery is conceptually difficult to deliver in classroom sessions without an actual demonstration, and there is no current model of the eyeball with extraocular muscles that can be used to demonstrate this law during anatomy laboratory sessions. We demonstrates extraocular movement and surgery how procedure works using a physical model made by us. We use a transparent plastic ball as an eyeball, Dyanoplast to mimic the extra- ocular muscles, long slender wooden sticks to demonstrate the listing’s plane, a stand to mount the transparent eyeball. We conducted a study to find the efficacy of our model based learning and found that it created a good impact and a better grasping ability. This approach will help students to improve their surgical skills as well as their written test scores.
